Does a wall below ground stay wet or leak after rain? We assess the contact with the ground, wall-to-floor joints and accessible drainage. Waterproofing from inside is only proposed when the substrate and water conditions allow it.

Understanding the problem
Find out how water reaches the underground wall
Salts, peeling finishes and free water can have different causes. The position of the room relative to the surrounding ground is important.
Wall-to-floor joints
Water may concentrate at the junction between the floor slab and wall. Covering the main wall while ignoring that joint can leave the problem unresolved.
Cracks and penetrations
Pipes, joints and local defects are assessed individually. Active water and substrate condition affect the repair sequence.
Condensation in enclosed rooms
Limited ventilation can coexist with water ingress. The two need to be distinguished before installing a lining or coating.
Inspection on site
Assess the limits of an internal intervention
When the outside face cannot be reached, we review whether an internal system is viable and which areas must be included. A decorative lining does not establish control of the water source.

Before arranging repairs
Can the wall be treated from inside?
In some cases, with a compatible system and adequate preparation. It is not a universal solution for every buried wall.
Should I cover the damp with plasterboard?
First establish the source and how the wall will dry. A lining may hide ongoing water ingress.
Do you also inspect lift pits?
We assess the construction-related water ingress, with access and lift equipment matters coordinated by the lift maintenance company.
